A Long, Long Time Ago

I see it's been since February since I did a blog post.  Well, there's a great reason for that.  All that talk of “I'm moving” that was going on, it finally happened.  I'm finally moved and getting settled into my new place.  I'd tell you where I call home now, but you know, I fear if I do, I'll end up having to move again.  I really like it here, so I'm just going to say this.  I'm still in the DC area, I just moved states and a little further out.  It's been a great move for us so far, and my office is now fully functional!
That brings me to the next question you probably have.  What the heck am I working on and when is it coming out?  Well, let me tell you what I've been working on.  I'll admit that writing didn't really happen while I was busy with the moving process.  Getting all those boxes (260 boxes and items were packed up in my house if you want to know) from point A to point B is always a chore.  Then getting it all opened back up…yeah.  I'm not going to say put away because it's not there yet.  I have about four boxes that we keep opening and shaking our heads wondering what to do with it so we close it back up.
Anyway, back to the work.  So writing didn't happen much in that process, but I did get something done.  If you hadn't noticed, my covers have changed.  When I crawled onto my air mattress late at night, Megan Matthews and I would exchange messages working on the covers, and trust me, it was a process.  I'm shocked she's still talking to me.  She is, though, (thank goodness) and I think she did a fabulous job.

Now that life is getting back to normal, I'll be back in the writing chair.  I'm working on finishing up KT's book, which has yet to be named.  I have Playing it Cool off with my editor, and I'm hoping to get it out as soon as possible.  After KT's book is finished, I'll be diving into another novella in the Portwood Series.  This one isn't for one of the brothers.  This one is for Wes.  When I originally started the series, it wasn't going to be about the brothers.  The second book in the series was going to be a book for Wes.  I had written off ever writing his story, but the opportunity came, and I took it.
For all of you who have stuck with me during this crazy time, thank you!  I know I went off the grid and was absent.  It's going to take me a little time to get back in the groove, but I'm getting there.  Things are slowly becoming normal again.  Well, they're becoming as normal as they can in my life.  🙂
